Roma, Mausoleo di Santa Costanza, epoca costantiniana
Yesterday, the body of American actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman was found in his Manhattan apartment, deceased after an apparent drug overdose. Shortly before his death, Hoffman had his portrait taken by photographer Victoria Will on the tintype medium. The photograph is part of a series taken by will of celebrities at the Sundance Film Festival, and is currently gaining internet fame based on the false premise that it’s the last photograph taken of the actor — it’s actually just the last portrait that was taken of him. The series features fantastic portraits of some of the biggest names in cinema today, and are proof that the old photography formats are still just as relevant as ever. Check out the full set on Victoria Will’s website.
